Stoke Newington welcomes its tastiest work hub

A new work hub has just opened on Stoke Newington Church Street complete with super-fast wifi, conference facilities and pastries baked on-site.

Work to create The Last Crumb Hub finished just in time for the New Year and they’re tempting people in with a half price day drop-in offer this January (just £12.50 per day instead of the usual £25). There are monthly membership plans available too.

The Last Crumb Café is upstairs and offers 10% off food to members of the Local Buyers Club (more info here)

The hub and café is run by best friends Paula Chapman and Le Cordon Bleu trained pastry chef Helen Collier and Helen’s nephew Jamie is Head Chef at the café. It's already proving to be a big hit with local foodies.

Paula said: “We’ve given a great deal of thought to creating our dream working space. It’s comfortable and spacious with all the facilities and technology workers need for things to go smoothly and some extras like free tea, filter coffee and pastries thrown in. The hub is already buzzing and we look forward to showing more locals around.”

The state of the art work hub has super-fast wifi, a meeting room with conference facilities, sofa area and plenty of plugs and USB points. Included in the price is a good supply of tea and filter coffee as well as pastries made on-site. And they’re offering hub members a free monthly surgery with advice on topics ranging from accountancy to fitness and nutrition.

Those wishing to work there can sign up to a monthly tariff or choose to pay ad-hoc for a full-day or half-day. Please email hub@thelastcrumb.co.uk for details.

Among the dishes served in the café are pistachio ham hock served with a crispy egg and chips, potted smoked mackerel with pickles and toasted sourdough, a full English breakfast with scotch egg and vegan and gluten free options too. In the evenings the team plan to host supper clubs with guest chefs.
