A new discount card is causing a storm in North and East London.
The team behind the Local Buyers Club have negotiated brilliant discounts at more than 100 of the area’s best independent restaurants, cafés, bars and shops.
Just some of the 100+ independent businesses offering discounts to members
For just £12 per year customers can secure discounts of between 10 and 25% at amazing businesses throughout Hackney, Haringey, Islington, Walthamstow, Shoreditch and the City.
The club is centred on a strong ethical platform of promoting and supporting independent businesses and helping local charities. In the few months since they launched, they’ve already collected the equivalent of more than 1,500 meals for local Food Banks.

Founder Basil Fansa said: “Local businesses are the lifeblood of our communities – they give our high streets character and vibrancy and are vital to local economies. We know there are discount cards supporting bigger chains, but we wanted to do something to boost smaller businesses.”

The Club has also captured the heart of Great British Menu judge Andi Oliver. Her restaurant Andi’s on Stoke Newington Church Street offers 10% off the bill to members of the Local Buyers Club.
She said: “Joining something like the Local Buyers Club that links up local businesses so we all support each other and so customers support our businesses goes to the heart of our ethics.”

The PPP Family ID System is a very helpful initiative that makes it easier for families to access different government services and welfare schemes in one place. Through Parivar Pehchan Patra, the government can verify family details, income status, and eligibility for benefits like pensions, scholarships, and subsidies. This digital system also improves transparency and reduces paperwork, making the process faster and more convenient for citizens. However, it’s important for families
to keep their information updated so they can continue receiving the benefits they are eligible for without any issues.
I recently started using Jai Club Game and decided to go through the setup properly. While doing that, I checked Jai Club register and found it quite simple and quick to complete. The steps are clear, and everything is well organized. I prefer apps that don’t overcomplicate basic processes, and this one keeps things easy. It runs smoothly without crashes, which is a good sign. So far, the experience has been comfortable, and I haven’t faced any issues while using it regularly.
EPDS Bihar is the Bihar government's digital platform that makes ration distribution transparent and simple. Linked to Aadhaar and biometric authentication, this system ensures secure, timely, and fraud-free distribution.
The NHA Beneficiary PMJAY platform allows citizens to check eligibility and avail benefits under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. It connects users to free or subsidized healthcare services at empaneled hospitals across India.
AePDS Bihar Challan streamlines the state’s public distribution system through real-time monitoring and digital tracking. It ensures fair ration delivery, transparency, and accountability in food supply operations.
